What students think so far
First impressions of the campus
Students have been quick to notice the modern feel of Sugar House Island. The campus is close to Pudding Mill Lane DLR station, making travel simple and placing students just minutes away from Canary Wharf, Westfield Stratford and the Olympic Park.
Inside, study spaces are bright and comfortable, and classrooms are fully equipped with the tech needed for interactive learning. Many students have said it feels welcoming and easy to settle into – especially with places to relax, revise or meet friends between classes.
My campus is brand new with great facilities and the teachers and staff are super supportive. The classrooms are bright and modern and there are tons of places around where students hang out between classes.

Exploring the city
Our location in Zone 2 gives students the freedom to enjoy London easily and affordably. Many students spend weekends exploring markets, canals, parks and different neighbourhoods. There are also exciting food and cultural events happening across the city.
Huy shared that even simple moments like walking around London feel inspiring. Students have also enjoyed the festivals, museums and the mix of modern and historic architecture that make the city feel exciting and full of surprises.
Study support that makes a difference
With small class sizes, personalised feedback and regular check-ins, students feel more confident in their academic skills. Every student is assigned a Personal Academic Tutor to guide them through workload planning, adjusting to UK study methods and building strong habits for the rest of the year.
This personalised support helps students feel recognised, encouraged and ready to do their best.
Settling into student life
For many students, the first few weeks have been emotional, exciting and full of new experiences. Huy, who travelled from Vietnam, shared how it felt to say goodbye at home, fly over 12 hours, and arrive in crisp autumn weather ready to start a new chapter. His first weekend was spent unpacking, preparing for classes and quickly discovering how friendly and open everyone is on campus. Experience his whole journey in the video below.
Students say staff and their fellow classmates have made a huge difference in helping them feel supported from day one. Small classes and personal attention have helped them adapt quickly, make friends and feel part of a community.
Industry-focused teaching
All tutors at our London campus are highly qualified – either experienced academics with PhDs or industry professionals with advanced degrees. Teaching is practical, interactive and designed to help students build the skills employers look for.
Students have already taken part in group projects, discussions and real-world tasks. Anisha from Nepal said she has enjoyed learning alongside classmates from different backgrounds and appreciated how friendly and supportive her lecturers are, especially when preparing presentations or assignments.
Making friends and building a community
From day one, students have been meeting new people through classes, group work, social events and the campus launch activities. The friendly atmosphere has helped many settle in quickly and build a sense of belonging.
Sugar House Island also hosts community events, such as food pop-ups, fitness classes and creative workshops, giving students extra chances to meet people beyond campus. Being based in London means networking opportunities, international friendships and new experiences are just around the corner.

I have secured a Student Ambassador role with Student Circus, a career platform that helps international students find jobs in the UK. I found this opportunity through Student Circus and used their resources to strengthen my application. Being based in London also helped, as I could attend the career fairs and events where the company is active.
